Compare Subaru Forester vs Toyota RAV4

The 2019 Subaru Forester VS The Toyota RAV4

Drivers from all over Wilmington, DE want to make sure they get the most bang for their buck when shopping for a new car. The best way to decide which vehicle is everything you are looking for is by comparing similar makes and model. Thankfully Delaware Subaru has done the work for you and compared the redesigned Toyota RAV4 to the redesigned Subaru Forester.

Safety:

For many Dover drivers advanced safety features are a top priority. Both the Forester and RAV4 come standard with standard advanced safety packages, but the Forester has more to offer. For example, the RAV4 doesn't offer LED Steering Responsive Headlights or distracted and drowsy mitigation system, like Subaru DriverFocus. Toyota Safety Sense also doesn't include all of the same features of Subaru EyeSight. Toyota Safety Sense also isn't as highly awarded or praised as EyeSight.

  • Toyota Safety Sense: Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Automatic High Beams and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
  • EyeSight: Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist and Sway Warning, Pre-Collision Braking, and Pre-Collision Throttle Management
  • Interior Space:

The Forester and RAV4 both offer Rehoboth Beach drivers seating for five, but the Subaru Forester has more spacious seating and more maximum cargo space. The Toyota RAV4 has a total interior space of only 98.9 cubic feet with 69.8 cubic feet of maximum cargo space. The Subaru Forester, however, has significantly more interior space with 111.9 cubic feet of passenger space and 76.1 cubic feet of maximum cargo space for bigger adventures.

    Performance:

West Chester, PA drivers want an SUV that is ready for a weekend adventure along the road less traveled as well as cruising around town running errands. The Forester is equipped for adventure with standard Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, Active Torque Vectoring, and Vehicle Dynamics Control. The Forester is also available with X-Mode with Hill Descent Control that works in tandem with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive to enhanced off-road performance. The Toyota RAV4 doesn't offer a similar feature for capable off-road performance and all-wheel-drive costs extra. When the RAV4 is equipped with all-wheel-drive it isn't quite as fuel efficient as the Forester with a 2.5L four-cylinder BOXER under the hood that gets 33 highway and 26 city mpg.
