Subaru Loves Pets Adoption Event - Olivia M
This year, during our Subaru Loves Pets Adoption Event, Delaware Subaru joined the Brandywine Valley SPCA for a Trunk or Treat & Pet Adoption Event at our Brandywine Valley SPCA Copeland Campus in New Castle, Delaware. Over half a dozen pets were adopted using a grant that Delaware Subaru was able to provide which covered the costs of adoptions fees, including pet-medical evaluations! We also hosted a Trunk or Treat Event where we had several of our supporters bring their own pets dressed up in their best Halloween Costumes, along with WSTW Radio and their mascot, Tookie Bird! Make a Dogs Day, Make a Kid’s Year! - Olivia M
This October, during Subaru’s national “Make a Dog’s Day,” where Subaru encourages Subaru Retailers to connect with their local pet shelters to volunteer, our Delaware Subaru marketing and Sales team connected once again with the Brandywine Valley SPCA. Our marketing team simply had one request, for a fairly “mellow” dog we could take to the park and to the showroom… Well, one of our long-time valued associates and her family happened to be thinking about adopting a dog, and it worked out this this dog was THE ONE! Even better, is that their young daughter got the experience of a lifetime by being greeted by the dog in the school pick-up line that afternoon! The Sons of Ben are our is our “Playmaker” of the Year for 2025! - Lee A
During each Philadelphia Union Major League Soccer home game, Subaru and its Retailers recognize members of the greater local Philadelphia area who have made an impact in their community. This month, Delaware Subaru nominated and honored the Sons of Ben and Sons of Ben club President, Justin Friedberg. The Sons of Ben have been a small but mighty part of the local soccer community for many years. While they are mostly known for their support of the Philadelphia Union, The Sons of Ben have worked with countless organizations such as The Bernadine Center, Kisses for Kyle and the Philadelphia Union Foundation to help the community at large. Made up of countless volunteers and dedicated members, the Sons of Ben can be heard loudly and proudly on gamedays chanting their hearts out in the River end.

On July 9, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) of Eastern Pennsylvania-Delaware joined Delaware Subaru for a special Subaru Loves to Care blanket delivery at ChristianaCare’s Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute. The group shared smiles, warm conversations, and a common goal: to bring comfort and cheer to patients and their families. As in years past, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) EPA-DE Region and Delaware Subaru teamed up to deliver blankets to the Christiana Care Helen F. Graham Cancer Center as part of the annual Subaru Loves to Care program. Delaware Subaru’s General Sales Manager, Michael Kane, personally dropped off the blankets to the ChristianaCare Helen F. Graham Cancer Center staff. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is a global leader in the fight against blood cancer. The LLS mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world, provides free information and support services, and is the voice for all blood cancer patients seeking access to quality, affordable, coordinated care. Delaware Subaru Teams Up to Support Local Community - Nate R
Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Wilmington, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Delaware Subaru is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Delaware Subaru have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/16/2025, Delaware Subaru donated 120 coats to Ministry of Caring. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.
Continued Support for the Brandywine Valley SPCA - Hailey M
For 2024, Delaware Subaru selected the Brandywine Valley SPCA as one of their Subaru Share the Love Hometown Charity Partners. In addition to Delaware Subaru’s adoption event support we have received since 2017, Delaware Subaru was able to raise $9,600 during their fundraising event! Founded in 1929, the Brandywine Valley SPCA exists to end animal suffering and to involve the entire community in the welfare and well-being of animals. Our mission is to put the "human" back in humane animal treatment and advocate on their behalf. Our vision is to be the recognized leader in animal welfare that empowers communities to treat life with respect and dignity. The Better Business Bureau of Delaware honors only a few companies each year with this very special award, and in their official communication to us, they stated: “The Better Business Bureau of Delaware honors only a few companies each year with this very special award and truly feels that we are honoring companies who operate with the highest degree of integrity.” Some of the highlights about who we are as an automotive sales and service retailer, which the BBB took into consideration for this award, include: - We have sold Subaru vehicles to over 29 U.S. States in the last 5 years. - We have been in business in Wilmington since 1916, family owned since 1982, and a Subaru Retailer since 2004. - And part of our continued success both locally and outside of our market are through the contribution of all of our Associates. Two important Business Principles that we have, which contribute to this award, are: - We will always focus on our clients' needs and wants and, if possible, satisfy them 100%. - We will always do the right thing, morally and ethically, for our clients and associates. For the second year in a row, through the Subaru Loves to Help initiative, Delaware Subaru donated over 100 brand new coats for the Ministry of Caring to provide to families and children in need that we serve in the Wilmington, Delaware area. This essential item not only helps keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can also have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.
