Subaru Sponsors the Subaru Loves Pets Initiative

Subaru is more than an automaker, they are a part of the communities and love to show their support through different philanthropic initiatives throughout the year. This year, they hosted their "Subaru Loves Pets" initiative in partnership with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®) and BARK, the makers of BarkBox. Subaru takes very seriously it's "Love Promise" vision that makes love and respect for all of the communities and customers around the country. One way they can do this is through the Subaru Loves Pest program which works to improve the lives of the approximately 6.5 million animals who end up in shelters each year.

Throughout October, participating Subaru dealership around the country worked with their local animal shelters to collect pet supplies for the dogs, cats, and other animals staying in shelters. Subaru also created Subaru Loves Pets Shelter Supply Kits in partnership with BARK for shelters in need; the care packages included items such as reusable food and water bowls, chew toys, leashes, and treats. They also provided shelters with New Pet Parent Kits for families who adopt pets from the benefitting shelters. Not only did Subaru collect materials and donate the Shelter Supply and New Pet Parent Kits, but select Subaru dealerships partnered with local animal welfare organizations and hosted pet adoption events where the fees were waived for new pet parents.

Subaru describes the Subaru Love Promise as "a promise to do right by our community by partnering with nonprofit education, health, community, environment, and animal organizations – to set Subaru apart through our deeds and the deeds of our partners." The Subaru Loves Pets initiative is a terrific example of this mission. We'd love to tell you more about the Subaru Love Promise, so stop by our dealership to learn more today!
