The 2018 Subaru Crosstrek Received Many Updates and Improvements

Just when you thought you couldn't want a Subaru Crosstrek anymore than you already do, Subaru adds four new improvements to make it more fun to drive than ever before. In the spirit of making vehicles that accommodate their customers' lifestyles, Subaru updated the upcoming 2018 Crosstrek to be more athletic and agile both on the road and off it. If you've always wanted to drive a versatile, athletic, and high-tech vehicle, the upcoming 2018 Crosstrek should be number one on your list.

The first of the improvements that have been made on the 2018 Crosstrek is more responsive steering and a lower center of gravity. The steering gear ratio has been lowered from 14:1 to 13:1, making for a more responsive and maneuverable driving experience on and off the road. The new global platform and underpinning allows the 2018 Crosstrek to experience a lower center of gravity to make it more sturdy through twists and turns. The next addition to the 2018 Crosstrek is Active Torque Vectoring, which debuted on the WRX, so you know it adds athleticism. This will keep the vehicle on the driver's desired path and reduce understeer, all in all making the handling more precise. The next two improvements go hand in hand with one another. The 2018 Crosstrek will offer more power and improved fuel economy, thanks to a spike from 148-horsepower in previous models to 154-horsepower in the 2018 model. And when you have a lighter build and redesigned engine, you'll be rewarded with better fuel economy.
